Happy October!

For those who were wondering...we made it out of Texas...alive! Just barely though. On the day we decided to leave I woke up about 3 hours earlier than usual. Let's just say that day was pretty much the same as Christmas...sadly enough! It was fabulous!

We took a little longer to get back so we could enjoy some sites. We stopped in San Antonio and visited a few local spots Chayse enjoys like this little German town called Gruene (Green) and a local burger joint that was amazing! The shakes were a little too thin but the burger more than made up for it! And to top it off, we were able to visit the temple for the first time in 4 1/2 months since that was the closest one to our "summer home".

I am positive San Antonio is the only "American" city down in Texas, at least on the route we were taking back. Nothing looked like it should have. Too many Mexican flags for my taste. We drove through the Hoover Dam though, that was pretty incredible. Then we made it to Mesa for the night and had the most amazing food at Red Lobster. We ate there this summer and had our usual meal of snow crab and coconut shrimp, but somehow in "Little Mexico" they can't make it as well as they can in America. Honestly. It was delicious this time! And right when we were about to give up, they go and redeem themselves!!

Mesa was...hot! Mid September held no relief for the heat-afflicted. We did go to the temple there as well and enjoyed walking around a bit and looking at the Visitor's center there. Then off we went on the last 7 hours to St George where we surprised Chayse's brother, wife and their 2 little girls! Good times...

Since we have been in Saint George working on our business and helping out doing this and that. We've already been up to Provo twice and will be heading back up around the 9th and will be there for a week for a trade show we're going to in Salt Lake. We've been house-hunting here and there and found ones we want...we just don't know what we'll be doing for the next few months so we can't really buy anything without figuring that part out first!!

And...we're now happy to be a proud uncle and aunt to a new...nephew! He was born on Monday and we haven't been able to see/hold him yet. Sad day. He's working on his breathing so we're excited to hear about his improvement and to hopefully hold the bundle of joy soon!! No name just yet...but it'll be good.

Here's to a happy October!
