I am going to give a slight recap of the last 2 1/2 years (minus a few days since it'll actually be on Tuesday). Here's a photo of us in Boston while we lived there for a month. We were able to go to the temple twice, visit a whole slew of historical sites and I was able to venture on my own while Chayse was busy working hard for us. Thanks Honey!!!
On our way back from Boston, in the middle of the 42+ hour trip, we decided to make a real road trip with it. It could have started at NYC, but there wasn't enough time as it was, so we'll just have to go there another time. First stop: Palmyra. We went to the Sacred Grove just before nightfall, went through Joseph Smith's homes and was able to attend a temple session in the morning.
After we did this...Camped in the smallest tent known to man just to save a few bucks!! I must admit, it was fun sleeping on Hill Cumorah, but at least we were newlyweds and still in love because boy was it snuggly!!!!
Then Niagra Falls came up next! Nothing to do with Church History, but a great landmark and since we were in the neighborhood, we swung on by and took a trip on the boat to see it at the bottom as well. Worth the stop, indeed!
Then we come to Kirtland, Ohio, and we did a tour of that town where the Church really got started.
We went to Nauvoo and stayed there the night and did a temple session in the morning as well. Amazingly beautiful temples!!! And after Nauvoo we headed to Carthage Jail to see where Joseph Smith was martyred. Here is Chayse standing beside the window that he ended up falling out of. It was such a wonderful stop and full of the Spirit.
After Carthage Jail, we were able to squeeze in a few more stops. We swung by Liberty Jail in southern Missouri as well as the beautiful and breath-taking Adam-ondi-Ahman.
After that we were really itching to get back to our own place, so we swung by my old stomping ground in Overland Park, Kansas, and saw 2 of the homes I lived in as well as the elementary school I went to kindergarten and first in. It was fun to see these places with Chayse even though it was about 10 at night and we were ready for some sleep!!!On the last leg back to Utah, our car Dixie had a bit of trouble. We decided to take it into the shop a month after we got back and ended up getting hit while stopped at a red light. So we had to part with the beaut, which depressed me a bit, and bought a 4Runner that I have no photos of. But here is Dixie after being hurt really bad and being 2% away from being totaled..
Now back to the story...
Then we lived in Orem, Utah, for the next 7 months until we left for Brownsville, Texas, for 5 months. PHEW! That's a lot of packing and unpacking!!!
We celebrated our first anniversary there and had a wonderful time together! What an amazing year it has been! 3 homes in 1 year...crazy!!
After finishing up what seemed to be a never ending summer, we moved into Chayse's parent's house for a few months while we looked for a home...and picked THIS beauty!!!!
We moved in on January 20, 2010, and boy was it eventful! We had EVERYTHING in storage in Provo, Utah, so we rented a UHaul, drove up, packed our stuff, drove back and unpacked it in the garage by ourselves. Chayse did 75% of the work but I did do about 25%!! It was a looong day! Then we headed to Spokane that weekend for a funeral, but I have no photos of that. Sorry.
Next we took our lives to Panama City Beach, Florida, for 2 months to enjoy selling for APX. Man, we are crazy, aren't we!?!? But I had a fun time there and made new friends and rekindled old ones ;)
View from our hotel balcony...not too shabby, eh?
Us on the beach! And we also celebrated our 2nd anniversary here, but I don't have any good photos of that. We made a weekend out of it and ate out at 3 different places...just to make sure we understood the "locals" cuisine, if there is such a thing at a beach town!
Since the end of August we have been busy, busy, busy with GreenTow and all the adventures that seem to be popping up in life!

So fun to read about it all!
