Today was a fun day for Zoey! She went up to Meritt's farm (okay, McKell and Trumbull, but it's been dubbed Meritt's farm) with Grandma in the morning. Zane left for preschool just before Zoey was picked up, to make sure he didn't make a big fuss about it all. It was nice to have a morning with just Pippa! It went by quickly, and soon Zane was home. Then mom and dad took over with Pippa and I took Zane out, just me and him! It was nice to hang out with my big guy and have no one else in the way. We visited Chayse at the office for a little bit and then got some frozen yogurt.
After our little date, we went home and Lux was already back from school! She was playing with her friend Pressley and we brought her up with us to the farm. Chayse even came home at 3 to go as well! So once Chayse arrived, I woke up Pippa and we headed to Pintura for a party. The kids have been talking about riding Louie for weeks now, as Santa brought it for Meritt at Christmas (obviously!). After waiting forever, the kids were able to ride him. He is such a sweet pony and the kids had a great time with this big event. I am glad we spent the time to do this. And for mom and dad to finally see the farm the kids are always talking about. It is a great set up and has everything a kid could want. They are always telling me how lucky Meritt and Blair are. Sorry kids, mom isn't that into farming things...so this will have to do for a long time. Maybe we can help add to it, but I don't think we will be owning a farm anytime soon!!
We had a great time on the farm. Thanks for having us McKell and Trumbull! Especially since the rest of the evening went very quickly. The kids were exhausted from all the running around they did and the fun they had feeding the animals. Glad you two have the farm!
