Today we started out normal. You know, send Lux to school. Gym. Last night and this morning Zoey said, just once, that her ear hurt. And, looking back, she slept terribly last night as well. Everyone had to put her back to bed. Me, Chayse, my parents...and she still ended on our floor from 2 am onward. But that's not out of the ordinary to sleep on our floor. She asked for a doctors visit, so I obliged. Especially since chemo will make sure we hit our deductible and out of pocket this year! So why not!We went off to the doctor and got in pretty quickly. Come to find out she had one ear drum rupture and the other is about to burst. Ooops. Talk about one tough cookie!! I have always thought there would be a lot of tugging on an ear if it ruptured. Not my baby girl!! So we left and had the prescription sent to Costco to get later this evening. Especially since they take forever to get scripts done same day. So we went to my friend Staci's house since she is not contagious at all with her ear breakage. Oh, I feel pretty terrible to let that happen, but I guess you never know and can't guess for an ear pop.
We had a fun time at Staci's. The kids watched a movie in their movie room while we chatted and Pippa, Zoey and Gwen wandered in and out. It was nice to chat for a bit and the kids didn't really interrupt us! Win!! Then off to the house for Pippa's nap and wait for Lux to get home. Mom and dad headed down to Vegas for the day and enjoyed themselves.
The day went by pretty quickly. After Lux came home we headed to Costco for the script for Zoey and got some dinner as well. Then Chayse got home and we did the Valentine's scavenger hunt. The kids had a great time. I made 12 clues, 4 for the 3 big kids, and each one alternated upstairs and downstairs! Got some running in and wore them out before bed. Winning!! Happy Thursday.
