Friday December 22

The big hit for today was storytime! We did a gym visit and then came home to get ready to leave. Half the kids weren't too thrilled, but we went over to the Washington Library and had story time with Santa! My kids have never been to see Santa, so it was a new thing for them. Staci and her kids were there, along with one of her friends and kids. I loved the idea of having Santa read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and I can't remember the other one. But I really enjoyed it, and the kids all did too once we got there.

After the stories, they had 3 large tables set up for Christmas crafts. We brought their friend Nora with us and all 4 kids enjoyed cutting and coloring the different activities they had laid out. While this was going on, you could wait in line to tell Santa what you wanted for Christmas. That confused my kids because we had always done letters, so I can save what was wanted that year. The rest of the day was spent playing at home with friends and eager for Daddy to come home!
