Then we went to the gym and I did my high fitness class I always enjoy with my friend Staci, hoping to see Jessica, but she had other things to do. Ha. Afterwards mom and I came home and got ready. Did some playing at home. Headed to the park. The kids enjoyed playing in the fresh air and it's always nice to keep the house clean just a little longer.
The only thing we needed to do was make cookies for Santa. That is slated for tomorrow's activity as it can't be done too early and have dried out cookies. That's just gross.
We hadn't done the Christmas in the Canyon at Tuachan yet, and I do love seeing their live nativity. We picked the perfect night to go because we got right into the production after getting our tickets for the nativity and train ride. And we sat in the front row!! As we never have done that, it was fun to sit so close and see everything. Dad was kind enough to stay home and put Pippa to bed. So not having her there made things even more enjoyable. The kids loved seeing the animals and enjoyed hearing the music that went along with the play as well. It is a very simple 15-20 minute show, but the music and the depiction was just perfect.
Afterwards we headed to the "train" to look at the lights around the parking lot. That was a highlight for the kids as well. Very easy and simple, they didn't even ask for tickets, and then the night was over. We headed to the car where they changed into jammies and off to the house we went, with some lights detour of course. It was an enjoyable evening together!
